Maybe my last animation post before Christmas =) Or I'll have the time to make the special "arcadia" post before :p Don't know, we'll see...

 I'm gonna go to see my grand parents thuesday if it stops snowing. It's in the middle of a mountain (4:30 hours from my home) and I will have to share the old computer we'll have with my mum and my brother

So here it didn't stop snowing and the temperature is about... -5 the day & -20 the night xD
I have to check my dad's house because he left in vacation and I enjoy watching X files on big screen even if I'm very cold inside the house...

So all I can say is that we can't see the road & the sidewalk anymore... that's crazy, I never saw something like that in December here... I have to go back in my dad's house tonight so I hope it'll stop or pray for me lol ( Yeah I'll do it for my dogs <3)

So I can't exactly remember who recommended this show to me first. It was either elliotsmelliot or hopelessfangirl? But anyway, whoever it was, THANK YOU. I'm utterly in love with it and the fact that it's taking ages to dl S2 isn't helping me much, lol. And I really really needed a light show after Pushing Daisies got canceled and this one fits the bill so much it's not even funny. Though I'd have probably started watching it sooner if I had known people go around with TYRELL CORPORATION BAGS. I MEAN, BLADE RUNNER INSPIRED BAGS. <3

My computer is dead! Woe! The LCD screen is alternating between pink and neon green and all the graphics are shot to hell D: D: D: D: Dell are arranging a time to come and fix it. In the meantime I am using my Dad's laptop whenever he isn't (which probably gives me a one hour window because he's an internet addict). I miss Firefox, I miss all my LJ add-ons, I MISS MY AUTOMATIC SPELL CHECK! ;__;

Anyway...

So, today I had to go to the dentist, I have a massive phobia and was pretty anxious, but then the postman arrived just as I was putting my coat on and he brought me great joy!

1. I am DONE with all the exchange fics. And with the bigbang. YES? Now I need to find out what does it mean to write stuff on your own, lol. In the end the D/C exchange one wasn't my first choice but I wasn't going to finish that in time, so I went for the back up plan and somewhere in the middle I started having fun with it and in the end it wasn't too bad, I guess. I just hope my recipient does like it...

2. Also, I should be caught up with all the comments I owe? Sorry for replying so late to most of them but I've had some crazy four days. From Wednesday to Friday I've slept a total amount of probably twelve hours, which probably doesn't make it too strange that on Saturday morning I woke up at 1 P.M. On Wednesday my grandparents arrived from Sicily, the train was three hours late and I ended up going to the station two times, the next day I had class at 8 AM and I had forgotten that I was supposed to go see Macbeth (which, by the way, was AWESOME. Well, the setting and everyone except the actress playing Lady Macbeth who imo completely butchered the role, but whatever) in the evening (and it was the day I was supposed to post the long-ass fic which I still was editing) so no sleep either, on Friday I had class all morning and stuff to do in the afternoon plus I had free tickets to go to a Mozart concert that evening so I wasn't going to pass it up and in the midst of it I spent most of my time driving. Which wasn't exactly good for my sanity but whatever.

3. Now some genius who is in charge of the trade union for the shopkeepers in my street (which has a LOT of shops, it's all shops actually) had this great idea of making this Sunday Christmas-special or something so there's one guy dressed up as Santa in the streetwalk in front of my window with kids sitting on his lap and stuff and next to him someone dressed as Mickey Mouse and they seem right out of Disneyland. I'm failing to see the cute factor. Also, reminds me I completely didn't do any of my Christmas shopping. Faaail.

4. I'm working through the cards. At least I've written all the addresses and I know what gets sent to whom. Now I just need to write them and finish the drabbles. Thankfully I'm at a good point.

5. I'm downloading Chuck. I decided I need a fun show even if I don't need another show and in the end I went for it also because I kind of wanted to check it out since it seems like my kind of crack. Also now that I'm done with writing I'm so checking out my Deadwood DVDs.

6. Also, has anyone seen Tom And Viv? I found out about it yesterday even if I really don't know how I didn't know that Willem Dafoe was in a biopic about T.S. Eliot since I <3 them both and it took me some six hours to download the whole thing. I just hope it's worth the effort...

7. Random: I miss the vampire porn. Also, His Prettiness + cast were meeting fans in London last day. Why do I live here, remind me? *sigh* From what I read everyone was awesome and they signed stuff and all the rest. When the hell does the vamp porn get aired here? Not that I'd watch it dubbed but you know.

8. I've seen A Serious Man. It was awesome. Coen brothers = ♥ ♥ ♥.

Warnings: The rating is not only for a sex scene, but I went for it mostly because since it's a war fic it gets very violent, there's some gore, a full battle description, probably touchy/triggering subjects and everything that goes with the setting. (Though it's not a death fic.)
Summary: WWII AU; Desmond and Sayid (plus Charlie and Sawyer) are British soldiers at El Alamein. This follows them and others (Jack, plus Boone) in their unit from 1942 until 1945 (and sort of later, too).
